Day 10. Prioritizing your content plan
The key idea
From map to schedule
The map says what is needed. A plan says in what order and by when. Use a simple scoring method to allocate limited resources.
ICE scoring
Score each task from 1 to 10 on:
- Impact: expected contribution to useful traffic and business results. Use day-7 demand and value estimates.
- Confidence: how strong the evidence is. Improving a relevant page already close to the first page may be more predictable than entering a highly competitive topic.
- Ease: how feasible the work is. A title change may score 10; a substantial original guide may score 3.
ICE = Impact × Confidence × Ease. Sort highest first. These scores support judgment; they are not precise forecasts.
Start with strong opportunities
Common priorities:
- Critical blockers from day 5.
- Useful pages around positions 8–20.
- New pages for valuable clusters with manageable competition.
Set a sustainable pace
A strong page each week can be more useful than ten weak pages followed by a month of silence. Choose a schedule you can sustain; publishing frequency alone is not a ranking guarantee.
This is the last open lesson. An account unlocks the remaining page, technical, authority and analytics lessons and keeps your browser progress.
Prioritizing with ICE
A plan you can carry out
A one-month content plan for a small coffee store.
Before
Thirty articles without priorities or capacity estimates lead to arbitrary work and an abandoned plan.
After
Tasks have scores, clusters and scheduled weeks. The scope is realistic and connected to the business.
How an expert reasons
Tie each task to the map and score it consistently. When a new idea arrives, evaluate it using the same method and adjust the queue.
Keep your progress
You have reached the end of the open section. Create an account to carry over progress, answers and notes and unlock days 11–30: pages, technical SEO, links, analytics and a 90-day plan.
